NORFOLK—Graveside services for 63 year old Carolyn S. Burke, a resident of 51 Brothers Road, Norfolk, will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Canton. Mrs. Burke passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Massena Memorial Hospital. Carolyn is survived by her longtime companion John Bessy, Norfolk; her two daughters, Bridget Hannan, Crary Mills; Brittany Hannan, Virginia Beach; four beloved grandchildren; a brother Terry Smith, Dayton, Ohio as well as her nieces and nephews. Carolyn was pre-deceased by her parents, a grandchild, a brother Collett Smith Jr. and her two sisters, Kathryn Iuraduri and Sharon Lindsey. Born in Charleston, West Virginia on February 9, 1954 to the late Collett Smith Sr. and Anna Jean Jordan, marriages to James Hannan and Richard Burke ended in divorce and separation respectively. Carolyn worked for Caregivers in Canton as a home health aide. Carolyn was a quite person whom enjoyed watching birds and helping others out.
