NORWOOD—Prayer services for 97-year-old Glenn E. Kuenzler, a resident of 105 North Main Street, Norwood, will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Mr. Kuenzler passed away late Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Massena Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Glenn is survived by his two sons, Brent Kuenzler (Julie), Norwood; Glenn Otto Kuenzler, Clayton, NC; his three daughters, Bette Ann Orologio (Michael), Norwood, Mary Jean Kuenzler, Norwood and Terry Huyett (Daniel), Middletown, Delaware; his seven grandchildren, Hanna Carrillo (Gabe), Mitchell Kuenzler (Melissa) , Jared Huyett (Kathy), Sarah Kuenzler (Bill), Adam Kuenzler (Vanessa), Sara Orologio (Christopher) ; Antonio Orologio (Rachel) and his eight great-grandchildren, Hailyn, Gabriel, Cole, Bryce, Brooks, Makenzie, Kayla, Adalynne, and one more on the way. Born in West New York, NJ, on July 5, 1920 to the late Otto and Elizabeth (Young) Kuenzler, Glenn married Mary E. Pettit on October 5, 1957. Mary passed away on January 9, 2007. Glenn was a farmer at heart, and enjoyed working his farms in New Jersey as well here in Norwood. Glenn also owned and operated a plumbing and heating business and was a member of the Changewater Mountain Hunting Club in New Jersey. Glenn was a communicant of the Norwood Methodist Church. Glenn's true passion was gardening. He grew many organic vegetables for his family. He also took vegetables to the Potsdam Co-Op for others to enjoy. Glenn worked with the administrators at the Nursing Home to have some of his raised gardens brought to the Nursing Home. He was so pleased to see the flowers and vegetables growing in the gardens, and happy that other residents were enjoying them as well. The family sends their sincere appreciation to the Norwood Rescue Squad, the St. Regis Nursing Home and the Massena Memorial Hospital, for the kindness and care shown to Glenn. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Glenn's memory can be made to the Norwood Unit of the Potsdam Rescue Squad, P.O.
