KNAPPS STATION—A memorial service for 72 year old Garry E. Shaw, a resident of 3321 County Rt. 47, Norwood, will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Knapp's Station Community Church with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Mr. Shaw passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Garry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Renee; two brothers, Dean and Sue Shaw, Southwick, MA; Robert Shaw, Bloomingdale, NY; his four sisters, Shirley and Joe Pickerign, Saranac Lake; Gloria and Robert Woodward, Schuyler Falls; Jean McGill, Troy, NY; Nona and Gill Miron, Saranac Lake and several nieces, nephews and a lifelong friend, Jim Walker and family. Garry was pre-deceased by a brother, Jon Shaw. Born in Saranac Lake, NY on June 27, 1944 to the late Gerald and Dada Hale Shaw, Garry married Renee L. Vincent on August 7, 1971. Garry was an accomplished machinist and worked as an engineer for O.A. Inc., located in Agawam, Massachusetts for 35+ years, retiring in 2006. Garry had a love of the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Agawam Revolver Club in Massachusetts.
