NORFOLK—A Celebration of Life Service for 60 year old Michael J. Claffey, a resident of 958 Limehollow Road, Norfolk, will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Norfolk with Pastor Tim Weller and Mikes brother, Patrick Claffey presiding. There will be a covered dish pot luck dinner to follow the services at the church. Mr. Claffey passed away Friday evening at his home surrounded by his family. Mike is survived by his wife Barbara, Norfolk; his sons Spencer Konitsiotis, Syracuse; Eric Aldridge, Massena; Scott and Danielle Aldridge, Norfolk; his daughters, Kellyjo Tesoniero, NYC; Tabitha and Harold Martin, Hopkinton; Angela Aldridge, Norfolk; his beloved 14 grandchildren; a brother, Patrick and Gwen Claffey, Norfolk; his two sisters, Janet and David Deon, Norfolk and Jomarie Little, North Carolina as well as several nieces and nephews. Mike was pre-deceased by his parents and a daughter, Michol Claffey. Born in Potsdam, NY on May 7, 1956 to the late Paul E. Claffey and Joan M. Harvey, Mike attended NNCS and then entered the U.S. Army and served in the later years of Vietnam. He was an owner/operator truck driver with LTI in Potsdam for several years. He was an active member of the Norfolk Volunteer Rescue Squad and enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
