Obituary of James A. Richardson

NORWOOD-- Memorial services for James A. Richardson Jr., 47, of Norwood, will be held on Friday, August, 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Buck Funeral Home, 7 Park St, Norwood. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. James died on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Jim is survived by his mother, Susan Richards (Norwood) and step-father Paul Richards (Norfolk); a brother, Robert (Bob) Richardson (Norwood); a sister, Michelle Richards and companion Adam Smith (Norfolk); a nephew, Brandon Richards; two nieces, Mykalyn LaDuke and Madalyn Richardson; his grandmother, Lorraine Richards and by aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jim is predeceased by his father, James A. Richardson Sr. and by grandparents, Marion and Herbert Richardson and Harvey and Harriet Spoor. Jim was born, April 29, 1969 in Potsdam, the son of James A. and Susan (Spoor) Richardson. He graduated in 1987 from Norwood-Norfolk Central School. Jim worked on the railroad, as a truck driver and spent the last 10 years working for Alcoa in Massena. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing and following his niece and nephews sports, especially hockey. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Sports for Cancer in Memory of Jim Richardson, 521 S.
